Hi Scott,

I can relate to your story, as I'm sure many young men can. Inner game issues have always held me back from fully practicing the game.

Currently I'm taking a break from the field to get my inner game handled. I'm wondering if you wouldn't mind sharing what techniques or strategies have helped you deal with your inner game issues? I'll post what I've been up to so maybe we can draw inspiration from each other.

Currently I'm reading "Mastering Your Hidden Self", a guide to the Huna Way, as recommended by Style. It teaches a lot of ancient Hawaiian philosophy, and while it may be kinda "new age" in parts, some of it makes sense, especially when dealing with negative emotional energy.

I'm also studying "Mind OS" as presented by Dr. Paul in David DeAngelo's "Deep Inner Game" video series. I'm a very visual person, and Dr. Paul does a great job of portraying helpful psychology in maps and charts that I can picture in my head when I'm having issues such as anger, anxiety, etc. They help me make decisions that will help me grow as a person, when faced with challenges in my day to day life, rather than doing what I've always done.

I've been doing random scary things to try and push me from my comfort zone such as:
- public speaking
- step class (I'm the only guy in a room full of hot sweaty women, it's totally intimidating, but good for me)
- making small talk with strangers
- asking cashiers how their day's going before buying stuff
- in two weeks my friends and I are all going to the beach in a speedo

Anyways, keep at it, and I look forward to seeing you in the field again bro!

Wow man, your life seems similar to me.. very similar. When I was a child I also feared to do things such as order food. I recently read the Game and I am currently trying to get over my AA for women. People like you give me inspiration to keep moving forward. Good luck!

Stage,

Hey man thanks for the comments. Weight has been a huge issue for me the last few years. I used to be about 60-70 pounds lighter than I am now and I just don't feel comfortable in my own skin which affects everything I do really. I am now focusing 100% on inner stuff till I am back to where I was before and I can say that I am fully happy with who I am. Once I am that point I can push myself to learning and developing other things in my life. (ie, gaming etc)

Some people seem to think this is a bit of a cop-out, but I just can't seem to make any progress in my life if I don't have this inner shit worked out.

I totally hear you on that confidence point. It is all about how you carry yourself. And its not just women, everyone you interact with each day respond to you based on how you present yourself to them.

I plan to do an update soon on specifically what I am working on to get my shit in gear.

Keep in touch,

Hi Scott, I came across this video and just wanted to tell you that I can relate to you.

I used to be extremely overweight, I mean, I was huge. And then I lost 50lbs and I just expected that women would naturally flock to me. But you know what, it didn't happen. And man, I was confused. I'm a decent looking guy now, but how come I'm not getting any women?

Well dude, the answer is this. The weight loss will definitely help, but it won't take you all the way there. Women have an extremely high intuition of sensing confidence, and they could still detect that I wasn't confident. What I'm trying to say to you is that you need to realize that looks really don't matter anymore man. It's all about how you carry yourself. You can definitely draw confidence from being in good shape, but you will have greater luck drawing confidence from what you know is positive about yourself. Don't let weight get to you. If it's an issue, work on it. But at the same time, work on yourself.

If you have any questions, I have a feeling I can really help you out. Feel free to reach me.

Happy Gaming,

Hi Scott.
Just saw episode 1 and i must say that this is some interresting stuff and i intend to watch all the episodes.
I'm in the PUA community too, and dude.. i feel you. Seriously i've had a lot your problems, and some of them are still present i can tell you!
I know i'm younger than you, but i still hope that i can give you guys some advice from time to time anyways :-)
But dealing with your past is a b*tch isn't it ?
Therefore i most highly recommend Eckard Tolles book - "The power of now"

I wish you and Jack a happy 2008, and good luck with all those beautyfull women that you DESERVE!

PS: Of course you might already have signed up at area51lifestyle.com and watched this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sWnPH-kXeZM but i still thought that i might inform you guys just in case :-)
